Cool Accessories Time!
Architecture on a ring?? Who wouldn't love that!
A couple ring~ I wish to wear one of these someday... T_T if ever.
Apart from clothes, I also love shopping for accessories. They might be small, but this small part can really add something and be the essence of your whole look :) And one of my must-have accessories is rings! They are small in size but big on the statement.

Amazing Photograph by Marco Heisler
I love it when a photographer, like Marco Heisler, managed to capture such incredible sights which would otherwise go unnoticed on macro lens. No doubt, it's breath-taking.

A Matter of Taste: Fulvio Bonavia
When accessories meet food and food becomes fashionable items, you get this wonderfully creative collection of artwork by Fulvio Bonavia. I particularly like the play on words 'taste'. Personally, I think it's pretty clever and intriguing. As taste becomes such a value that each of us is often classified by whatever we spend our money on, whichever restaurants we eat at, whoever we befriended with, it is something we carry with us like an accessory.

Emily Ann Thurrell's Pressed Flowers
It's been 4 months!!!! o.o Really?? Has it been 4 months since my latest post!! o.,o This sofa was sure abandoned. Though I wouldn't say that I completely stopped my usual routine of constant observation, documenting and collecting. I still, even with little less time to spare, continued to fuel my creative brain with visual inspirations on a daily basis. You can find and follow me here "http://underthesamesofa.tumblr.com". What kept me from blogging? All was due to my work... Have I mentioned it? Yes, you heard me 'work'. I got offered a job as a junior graphic designer at a family-size design company in Bangkok (on the outskirt of Bangkok to be more precise). And life has never been so busy since then!!! Believe me when I say 'busy'! Full-time designer~ sounds like something I would have loved to call myself months ago. Though things could have been worse if I was still jobless. I have to say, I kinda miss having time to do things as I please. Everything now is an obligation. I guess that's why people call it a 'job'. hahaha~ I get it now. And I definitely came to appreciate the value of money and my parents even more (not to be corny, but I mean I really did!).
Don't even get me started on what those long-gone months occupied... Heck load of corporate design work... Not exactly what I had in mind as my first design job, but I am learning a lot from my co-designers and bosses. They are a cool bunch! I'd hate to leave them, as I know the time will come.
Never mind about my boring life. Here is what got writing and blogging again! A rather enticing and awesomely cool collection of pressed flowers in scrapbooks by Emily Ann Thurrell. Yep! I am a hoarder in almost every aspect of my life lol. I hold on to memories I should have let go years ago; I keep things I should really throw away; I document things I see/love/like in every form possible. lol. I hope you enjoy! It's good to be back :)

Emanuela de Paula shot by Jacques Dequeker
Gorgeous, gorgeous, and gorgeous! *heart x 10* Jacques Dequeker, a self-taught Brazilian-born artist, is another one of my favorite fashion photographers. His work is featured in many top-shelf fashion magazines such as Vogue Brazil, Marie-Claire, Glamour Paris, V magazine to name a few. I can't help but fall in love with this particular set of photos. You know how much I love flowy things, photographically speaking I mean. Though I wouldn't imagine myself in them EVER lol.
Certain elements in his Emanuela de Paula shoot reminds me of the 19th century painting, only more 21st-century. I was so captivated by its flowing sheer fabric with a slight hint of the romanticist. His soft shade of aqua blue gives it dreamy effect. So dramatic, extravagant and elegantly portrayed.
Not everyone is going to have the same taste in things as I do. So, be sure to check out more of his work guys! You might find something that is worth sharing and write about :)
Enjoy!

Nikki Farquharson
| Missbehave Magazine | Baby Girl - 2009. Collaboration with photographer Brooke Nipar for Missbehave Magazine. www.missbehavemag.com | www.brookenipar.com |
Another great fashion illustration by Nikki Farquharson. I have a thing for line work, things in black and white, and the high-contrast in color and texture. I really admire people who can mix those things up and execute it so well~ I tend to mix and mess it up when I started to combine too many elements in one piece. Sometimes I over-think that it turns a simple piece into a monster. lol That's what my mom always says when she sees my work.
